This year as we have our 25th anniversary of our Christmas Parade we have the pleasure of honoring some of our own.

This year we will be honoring Dave Gaudette as our first Santa. Dave is a life member of the department and was our first Santa from 1999 till 2012 when Dave retired from active duty. Dave loved filling this roll weather it was in the parade or Christmas Eve riding around town waving to anyone who saw him.

We are also pleased to announce our two grand marshals Bill and Mildred Barclay. The Barclays are life members of the department Bill a second generation firefighter that served the community as a firefighter for 40 plus years and Mildred a long time ladies aux. member and the town’s original fire dispatcher. Let’s not forget their support of our local sports teams with their family business. The Barclays embody community service and pride and we are honored to recognize their efforts.

This coming Thursday and Friday we will be out judging the house on the parade route but don’t forget if we can see you from the route you are eligible for a trophy as well. So let’s get those lights up.

Don’t forget there is plenty of time to get those entries in fire departments, business or private displays all are welcome.
